"Spending years in East Africa taught me that real change happens when we invest in people, especially children. At APCF, I see that same commitment. It's about empowering orphaned children to break free from poverty and build their own futures."
David Bongiorno is a dedicated humanitarian with a wealth of experience in international development and operational leadership. His passion for making a meaningful impact was sparked in his teens and has only grown throughout his career. David spent six transformative years living in Tanzania, where he developed an in-depth understanding of community-driven development, focusing on sustainable water projects. His hands-on experience working alongside local communities gave him a deep appreciation for the value of grassroots partnerships and sustainable solutions, which aligns perfectly with APCF's approach to empowering vulnerable children across Asia. Upon returning to the United States, David enrolled in MBA studies at Missouri State University, where he refined his skills in strategic management and nonprofit operations. He then took on a leadership role with WorldServe International, directing an extensive portfolio of projects across more than ten countries and the Navajo Nation. His work involves facilitating strategic partnerships, overseeing project execution, and ensuring that each initiative delivers lasting benefits to the communities served.
