Mr. Rhyne has more than 40 years experience in the for-profit and not-for-profit worlds. After graduating from the University of Washington School of Business, he founded a precious metals brokerage in Seattle at age 24. From 1974 until 1996, the company traded physical gold, silver, platinum coins and bars nationwide, and he was a co-founder of the Industry Council for Tangible Assets. He led the battle in 1985 to eliminate the Washington State sales tax on gold and silver investment coins. Then he worked for nine years as an Executive Consultant for Management Action Programs. After the 2008 meltdown of the U.S. financial markets, he founded Washington Gold Exchange. Besides serving on the board of the Asian Pacific Children’s Fund, Craig co-founded the Freedom Education Foundation (a 501(c)3 non-profit organization) in 2019 to produce and distribute a civics course to high schools about the principles of the Founders and the Founding Documents. Craig has been a member of Rotary International for 30 years.
